Jesus paid the price for us to be well – a Bible verse on healing 1 Peter 2:24

Who His own self bore our sins in His body on the tree that we having died to sins might live to righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed,

1 Peter 2: 24

I have read that the brutal Roman flogging that Jesus endured was horrific and violent.  A flagellum similar to a ‘cat o’ nine tails’ that had several leather strands attached embedded with lead and sharp pieces of bone was the instrument of torture.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God – James 1:5

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him.

If you need wisdom all you need to do is ask

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.

James 1:5

This Bible verse of the day is an inspirational quote about wisdom that is great to memorise.

This is a scripture of great encouragement whenever we are at a loss to know what to do about anything. Do you need help in running your business?  Do you need help in parenting your children?  Do you need help to deal with a particularly difficult work colleague?  Maybe you and your spouse are not getting on.  This scripture from the letter of James will help you.

This promise from the Word of God is that God will generously give us wisdom whenever we ask. What is wisdom?  I believe that it is an inspired insight from God for a particular situation.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace – Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:22

Being fruitful is rewarding

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Galatians 5:22

The verse of the day is a scripture about the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-23 are also wonderful bible verses about friendship.

Here the Apostle Paul is writing to the Christian believers at Galatia encouraging them to not be trapped into thinking that God requires religious rituals to be accepted by Him. He says that they are now under grace and not under law.

Paul begins to explain how Christians should now live and conduct themselves.

Firstly Paul says this:

For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13-14

By whose stripes you were healed – 1 Peter 2:24

A Bible verse on healing.

Jesus has already paid for our healing

Who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.

1 Peter 2:24

The Bible verse of the day is a scripture on healing. It is also a Bible verse on peace and grace.

There are Christian believers who have taken this scripture by faith and have been healed of physical diseases and sicknesses. By believing and praying in faith that this scripture would be a reality in their lives healing had manifested in their bodies. Other Christians have taken communion affectionately remembering the Lord’s body that was broken for us. Others have had the elders of their church anoint them with oil. Other believers have hands laid upon them.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts – Colossians 3: 15

Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3: 14-15

Receive the peace of God today

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Colossians 3:15

This wonderful Bible verse on peace is delightful when you know the full meaning in the original Greek of which it has been translated from. Here it is in the Amplified version:

And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

Colossians 3: 15 (AMP)

Soul harmony is something that would bless everybody rich or poor, young or old, man or woman.  Some try to find it by meditation or stress relief using yoga or various other bodily activities.  However there is nothing in this world that has the power to still troubled thoughts other than the word of God.
