Walking with Jesus is walking in the light of life

Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8: 12

In John’s Gospel Chapter 8, the stage is set for an amazing showdown between Jesus and the religious people who contended with him. They were always looking for ways to catch him and trap him into saying the wrong thing. However, not once did Jesus ever say something that was not a great truth.

Being fruitful is rewarding

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Galatians 5:22

The verse of the day is a scripture about the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-23 are also wonderful bible verses about friendship.

Here the Apostle Paul is writing to the Christian believers at Galatia encouraging them to not be trapped into thinking that God requires religious rituals to be accepted by Him. He says that they are now under grace and not under law.

No one comes to the Father, except through me.   I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor that he may be with you forever, – the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you”.

John 14: 6-7

John 14 and John 15 are the most beautiful chapters in John’s Gospel. Bible verses of hope, comfort and faith can all be found.
