Salvation can only come from Jesus – Salvation bible verses
There is salvation in none other
Salvation bible verses are always good to learn. This Bible verse on salvation comes from the fourth chapter of Acts.
The book of Acts is a Bible book that follows on from the Gospels. This is sometimes called the Acts of the Apostles. You could say it is a book of activity, adventures, travels, and exploits of the disciples who witnessed the life, death, and ressurrection of Jesus.
In Acts 2 the Day of Pentecost occurs where the disciples are baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. Prior to this great event, the disciples may have been timidly lurking in the upstairs of a house fearful of repercussions from the tremendous events that happened in Jerusalem when Jesus was crucified. So angry were the religious people of the day that Jesus had risen from the dead, that their attention may have turned to the followers of Jesus. However, they were also praying and waiting on God including Mary the mother of Jesus. Before Jesus ascended into Heaven He had instructed them to wait for the promised Holy Spirit and that was what they were doing. Space doesn’t permit telling all that happens in Acts chapter 2 sufficiently to say that they were empowered becoming bold and confident proclaiming to everyone the message of salvation.
In Acts 3 Peter prays for a man who has been lame from birth unable to walk. This 40-year-old man relied on other people to carry him to his regular place to beg outside the Gate called Beautiful. When Peter prayed under the power of the Holy Spirit this man actually leaps up perfectly healed and continues to leap about with joy. Peter prayed in the Name of Jesus and this man was healed and his legs immediately strengthened. When Jesus said that all power had been given to Him in heaven and on earth, that same power is invested in His Name – that is why we must pray in the Name of Jesus in faith. Acts 4 records that 5000 men excluding women and children became believers that day. It caught the attention of the religious people who wanted to quash this new belief before it threatened their comfortable existence. So they arrested Peter and John and placed them in custody until the next day before commencing interrogation of them.
Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, if we are examined today concerning a good deed is done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole…. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
The truth of this scripture reveals that only Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light and nobody comes to the Father except by Him.
